I managed to cover the time period that I set myself, the 6th century to the 13th and it's been a fascinating journey. I have learnt so much on my travels, not only about the family themselves, but the world they lived in.
The Meavy family line doesn't end in 1243, the time of Henry III where I left them, but in the reign of Henry's 2x great grandson Richard II. I have chosen to stop at this point in this family's history, not because I know nothing of them, in fact I have the names of the head of each generation who received the Meavy estates right up to the time of Alice, the last of the Meavy's to receive her inheritance, but because I am on shaky ground when it comes to the reigns of Edward I, II and III as I only know the basic facts of their reigns, to continue with the Meavy's story I need to understand it better.
The Meavy's story begins here :
I hope you've all enjoyed coming along with me on this journey - I wonder where I will head next.
